Every Dollar Counts
Help us help families affected by cancer
We started Blackburn Chasing the Cure, LLC November 9, 2012 and after one year we started the process to become a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation which was finalized June 19, 2014. We founded Blackburn Chasing the Cure in honor of Megan's mom and aunt, who are both breast cancer survivors. Our foundation was also created in memory of Corey Hoehn, the younger brother of Megan's lifelong best friend who lost his battle with Ewings sarcoma at the young age of 15.
Through our own family battle against cancer we know how important it is for families to be 100% focused on their loved ones and not worrying about bills. No parent should have to be at work while their child is in treatment or hospitalized. We also know the side effects of chemotherapy and the specialized diets patients need to be on to reduce the side effects and to help them fight the cancer. Unhealthy food is a lot less expensive than healthy food and our loved ones battling cancer were fortunate enough to be able to afford the healthy food but that is not always the case. We have seen families struggle to keep food in their house let alone healthy food. Megan's mom was only able to eat potatoes after her treatments and that extra money every week for special foods adds up.
BLACKBURN CHASING THE CURE wants to ease the financial burden of families so they can focus solely on their loved ones. We pay bills, cover grocery bills, and travel expenses. We also provide chemo care kits to patients starting treatment.

Our 3 annual events (5K, Youth Football Camp, and Celebrity Golf Scramble) have raised over $200,000 to date!!!! These Funds help us assist and support the families directly, who need it most.
Donate and help us tackle breast cancer and childhood cancers by helping the champions fighting the biggest battle of their lives.
501(c)3 Approved Charity

We have completed the process of becoming a federally recognized non-profit charitable organization. Our EIN is 47-1393321
